Antique Northern Furniture Company Victorian Era vanity dresser / chest. Made of quartersawn oak featuring a dome top vanity mirror over five drawers, all inlaid with a parquetry checkerboard design. Great for use in the bedroom, or remove as a standalone console / hall chest. (mirror is removable)

The Northern Furniture Company was a furniture manufacturer in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, that operated from 1904 to 1949:
Founding: George B. Mattoon founded the company in 1881 as the Mattoon Manufacturing Company.
Name change: After Mattoon’s death in 1904, the company was renamed the Northern Furniture Company.
Purchase: In 1916, the C Reiss Coal Company and family of Sheboygan bought the company.
Name change again: In 1942, the company was renamed the R-Way Furniture Company.
Furniture types: The company manufactured tables, desks, bookcases, and buffets.
Plant size: By 1900, the plant covered 12 acres and employed around 800 people.
Sheboygan, Wisconsin, has been known as “Chair City” and has been home to many furniture companies, including Northern Furniture Company, Phoenix Chair, Mattoon, Crocker Chair, Bemis-Riddell, and Thonet.
