About the Item

This D35 Kinetic leather armchair is in excellent condition. It is made of black synthetic weave with black leather. The leather is soft and in excellent condition, the weave has been pulled and knotted once on the underside of the seat and secured with ties at the back. This is hardly visible when it is standing and does not affect the seating comfort in any way, but should be mentioned. The chrome on the frame is as good as new.

The Hungarian Anton Lorenz is one of the key figures of Bauhaus design and tubular steel furniture. He took up the idea of the cantilever chair by Mart Stam and developed various tubular steel icons on this basis at the end of the 1920s, including this D35. The German manufacturer Tecta, which is committed to Bauhaus design, took up the idea of the D35 and developed it further into the current Kinetic version, in which the seat can be moved backwards using body pressure.Creator: Anton Lorenz (Designer),Tecta (Manufacturer)Dimensions: Height: 38.59 in (98 cm)Width: 25.2 in (64 cm)Depth: 33.08 in (84 cm)Seat Height: 15.75 in (40 cm)Style: Bauhaus (In the Style Of)Materials and Techniques: LeatherPlace of Origin: GermanyPeriod: 1980-1989Date of Manufacture: 1980Condition: GoodWear consistent with age and use.Seller Location: Ludwigslust, DEReference Number: 1stDibs: LU8213241687372
