About the Item
Italian surreal still life panels depicting string instruments, a viola and a mandolin(o). Made by Felice Galbiati Arte Decorativa in Milan. A lacquered lithographic transfer on wood, framed and centered on a larger framed dark wood panel. Both frames are giltwood. The back was removed once on one for the picture of the printed logo of the maker. It is a Sun with a face surrounded by Felice Galbiati Arte Decorativa and Milano (Italy). In fine condition, they are wired for hanging. A small sticker on the back of one reads: Perkins LTD. 830 N. Main St. Dayton, Ohio (phone number) and written in ink: #66/18 and $47.50. Printed sun logo on masonite back under rear paper.
