About the Item
Unique hand crafted coffee table. Made from a single slab of wood. It has three legs that are fixed through the top and secured with wooden wedges. The top has lots of markings and scuffs. Combined with an amazing patina this table will fit perfectly in a wabi sabi interior as well as in a modern interior.
Probably made in the 1950s but the wood slab appears to be some hundreds years old.
The top has been cleaned, lightly sanded and given a new coating of wood oil and wax bringing out the amazing colors even more.
Seeing that the top is a one piece slab of wood it has natural deformations, holes and roughness. the table is very stable and robust.Similar to: Axel Vervoordt (Designer)Adrien Audoux and Frida Minnet (Designer)Dimensions: Height: 18.12 in (46 cm)Width: 21.26 in (54 cm)Depth: 49.22 in (125 cm)Style: Brutalist (In the Style Of)Materials and Techniques: Wood,Hand-CraftedPlace of Origin: FrancePeriod: Mid-20th CenturyDate of Manufacture: 1950sCondition: DistressedRefinished.
