Plant Care
Dense Yew requires minimal maintenance once established. Regular watering during the first growing season helps develop a deep root system. While drought-tolerant when mature, consistent moisture produces the best growth. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer. Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth appears to maintain desired shape and size.
Planting Instructions
Plant Dense Yew in spring or fall for best results. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and as deep as the container. Mix native soil with organic matter at a 50/50 ratio. Position the plant at the same depth it was growing in the container, backfill with soil mixture, and water thoroughly. Apply 2-3 inches of mulch around the base, keeping it away from the trunk.
