Plant Care

Red Maples are remarkably adaptable and low-maintenance trees. They benefit from regular watering during the first growing season to establish a deep root system. Once established, theyre drought tolerant but prefer consistent moisture. Pruning should be done in late winter or early spring before new growth appears. Apply a layer of mulch around the base, keeping it away from the trunk to prevent moisture-related issues.

Planting Instructions

Select a location with adequate space for mature growth, avoiding utility lines and structures. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and at the same depth. Remove the tree from its container and gently loosen the roots. Place the tree in the hole, ensuring its straight and at the proper depth. Backfill with soil, tamping down to remove air pockets. Water thoroughly and apply a 2-3 inch layer of mulch around the base, keeping it away from the trunk.
