About the Item
This is an original piece produced by Eletroskvit Nove Zamky in former Czechoslovakia. This lamp is made of white bakelite and can be hang as wall light or simply used as a desk lamp. Due to its strong inspiration of a pre-war modernist aesthetic, this lamp is commonly mistaken for being produced in the 1930s but it was in actually produced way later during the 1970s.
This piece consists of a base made of one single cast piece with an on/off switch and bulb. The lampshade has got an organic oval shape and are easily adjustable as they are held directly on the bulb itself by a light wire frame. The bright green cap on the top not only holds the wire underneath but also adds splash of colour and a bit of detail to the whole piece.
We have two lamps available with subtle differences in the overall shade of the piece, and they both have different coloured switches. Both lamps are in great vintage condition and are fully functional. There are some slight signs of natural wear and tear according to their age.Creator: Elektrosvit (Manufacturer)Dimensions: Height: 5.52 in (14 cm)Width: 4.34 in (11 cm)Depth: 7.09 in (18 cm)Power Source: Plug-inVoltage: 220-240vLampshade: IncludedStyle: Bauhaus (In the Style Of)Materials and Techniques: Bakelite,Steel,CastPlace of Origin: SlovakiaPeriod: 1970-1979Date of Manufacture: Circa 1970Condition: GoodWear consistent with age and use.Seller Location: Brno, CZReference Number: 1stDibs: LU6290238201912
