About the Item

An absolutely wonderful and unique example of a mixed metal cabinet with incredible patina and superb details. The cabinet features monochrome finish and mixed glass on the doors and brass handles throughout. It also has 6 drawers and two levels of cupboards for maximum storage. The aged metal exterior has a great raw quality and the top is toughened black glass. Probably this was a medical cabinet in a former life. We love the rustic feel to this formally utilitarian piece and can imagine it sitting chic in a bathroom. the manufacturer remains at large but it’s likely 1940’s and is typical of that period. Beautiful patchwork of patina and materials and unlike any other piece out there.Dimensions: Height: 42.92 in (109 cm)Width: 36.23 in (92 cm)Depth: 14.57 in (37 cm)Style: Bauhaus (Of the Period)Materials and Techniques: Brass,Glass,SteelPlace of Origin: FrancePeriod: Early 20th CenturyDate of Manufacture: circa 1940sCondition: DistressedWear consistent with age and use.Seller Location: London, GBReference Number: 1stDibs: LU6739229919322
