American Furniture Company Jacobean Gothic Revival tallboy dresser, Circa 1930s. Operating out of Batesville Indiana since 1899, they worked closely and collaborated in part with Romweber. Specializing in high grade bedroom suites furniture. Features a chest on chest form made from American walnut with matchbook veneer burled drawer fronts. Includes 7 oak dovetailed drawers and one central cubby with a quatrefoil shaped door. The outer stiles of the dresser are chamfered with “s” scrolled spandrels over quarter cut spindles and fluting terminating into rams tongues. The cabinet has brass drawer pulls and is supported by bulbous turned bun feet.
