The Butterfly Magnolia is a stunning deciduous tree that produces exquisite creamy-yellow, tulip-shaped blooms in early spring before its leaves emerge. The blossoms are followed by attractive dark green foliage that provides excellent summer shade.

Plant Care
Butterfly Magnolias require minimal maintenance once established. Water deeply and regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system. Apply a layer of mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer. Pruning should be limited to removing dead or damaged branches, as excessive pruning can reduce flowering.
Planting Instructions
Select a location with well-draining soil and adequate space for mature growth. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and as deep as the container. Remove the plant from its container and gently loosen the roots. Place the tree in the hole at the same depth it was growing in the container. Backfill with soil, tamping down gently to remove air pockets. Water thoroughly and apply a 2-3 inch layer of mulch, keeping it away from the trunk.
