This French Louis Philippe style commode or chest of drawers from the turn of the twentieth century features a facade of book matched burl walnut. Fitted with four drawers, its three lower drawers of dovetail construction are appointed with bronze drop ring handles detailed with rosettes. The piece is finished with a wood top, as opposed to the more common marble top, that gives a less formal feel to the chest.
