A 19th century small chest-of-drawers, intricately hand-painted with lovely floral compositions set against light yellow backgrounds framed by faux-gilt Rococo styled frames. The base paint is in a palette of light green, aged with an old lacquer that has yellowed, presenting the piece with proof-of-age and relinquishing itself to a beautiful time-worn patina.
The interior drawers are lined with an old decorative pattern worked paper and the handles are in the form of eloquent half-shells, carved in wood.
Condition: wear commensurate with age with some losses to the polychrome and minor chips and scratches.
