Louis Sognot was a French designer best known for his elegant furniture made from a combination of rattan and wood. Born on May 25, 1892 in Paris, France, Sognot studied at cole Bernard-Palissy before working as a designer at the Au Printemps department store in Paris in 1919. The designer became a founding member of the Union des Artistes Decorateurs.
