Plant Care
This low-maintenance evergreen requires minimal care once established. Water regularly during the first growing season to develop a deep root system. After establishment, reduce watering frequency but maintain consistent moisture. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer. While naturally maintaining its globe shape, light pruning in late spring can help maintain desired form and size.
Planting Instructions
Plant in spring or early fall for best results. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and at the same depth. Remove the plant from its container and gently loosen the roots. Place in the hole, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface. Backfill with original soil, tamping down gently to remove air pockets. Water thoroughly and apply a 2-3 inch layer of mulch around the base, keeping it away from the trunk.
