Beautiful industrial clock made in England by well-known makers Magneta Electric. c.1940
This clock has been left in original condition with age brass surround and bright dial showing some attractive crazing to the surface. Original hands running on a high torque Quartz movement for modern convenience.
About the maker
The Magneta Time Co. were based at the Goblin Works factory in Leatherhead, Surrey. As a company there were instrumental in the development of public clocks with many still found at railway stations today. They manufactured synchronous, impulse, turret and even advertising clocks where commissioned by architects.
