Vintage Table Lamp Bijou from Philips – 1950s
This beautiful tripod lamp is a real design classic from the 50s/60s. This lamp with its unusual design is a highlight for any lounge interior.
This model was created by the well-known designer Louis Christian Kalff. He was the artistic director of the Philips company in Eindhoven, Holland. The dynamic shape of the green lamp is exemplary of the New Look of the 1950s. Its innovative lampshade construction, with a bulb piercing the center, provides an interesting effect and practical light distribution.
